Making an appointment

Making an appointment for a reading by Karen is as simple as picking up your phone and calling 860•665•8024. Messages are almost always returned within one day and the phone is frequently answered by Karen's husband, Mark. Karen accepts MasterCard, Visa and Discover for payment, as well as cash in her office.

What days are available in the office?

Karen reads on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays in her office which is located in Rocky Hill, CT. There are many times when her schedule gets filled and you cannot get a same-day appointment with her. Keep in mind that Karen does this as a career. This is why Karen recommends making appointments in advance, so that you can plan for your consultation. When it is time for your appointment with Karen, it is all about you!

Karen does take walk-ins in the office, to the extent that she has availability in her schedule, but all readings are booked on a first-come first-served basis, so an appointment will always ensure you a reading at a time that fits your schedule.

There are certain days and certain times of day that are in high demand. Saturdays get booked very quickly and times during the week after people leave work are, likewise, at a premium. If you are booking after 4:00 PM on a weekday or on a Saturday, please understand we are reserving a time that is in high demand for you and that a last-minute cancellation or a missed appointment will not only inconvenience others who might have wanted that time as well as require that you book with a credit card in the future.

Karen does not do telephone readings from her office. You may not change an in-person reading in her office into a telephone reading.

Phone Readings

Phone Readings are scheduled on a first come first served basis and Karen reads in the evenings after 8:15 Eastern Time when she is not teaching or lecturing. You must call to make an appointment for a phone reading in advance and they are handled like all other appointments except that you will be asked for your credit card and your address in order to reserve your time. Karen does not do telephone readings from her office. You cannot get an in-person reading after 8:15, as she usually leaves her office just after 6:00 PM. Karen does no telephone readings from her office.

International Calls

International Calls are generally done on a Sunday morning at 10:00 a.m Eastern Time in the U.S.A. They are paid for by credit card, and are booked in advance. Karen does not Skype her phone readings at this time, but you may use Skype to place your call to her at the appointed time.

What about cancellations?

We know that things do come up at the last minute, but Karen plans her day around service to her clients, with the intention of focusing on you during your time with her. When you book time in her schedule, the time you book prevents others from booking that time. Karen asks that, if you do have to cancel a booking, you do so at least 36 hours in advance, out of consideration to her other clients. Karen also asks that you do not change your appointment within 36 hours, as well, out of consideration for those who may have tried to book that time.

The Wall-Of-Shame

People who do not show up for an appointment or who cancel within 36 hours of their appointment are placed on a list Karen calls her Wall-Of-Shame. For those who canceled at the last minute, a credit card will be required to book any further appointments. No credit card is charged until after a reading, however Karen does reserve the right to charge late cancellation fees and for time you missed. Karen asks that you be as considerate of her time as she is of yours.

You may not change an in-person reading in her office into a telephone reading. She does no telephone readings from her office.

Booking for several people

Karen welcomes booking for more than one person. In fact, you may qualify for a discount if you book yourself and a friend for a reading in her office. For more information please see Karen's Specials Page. If you are booking more than one hour of Karen's time, she may require a credit card to hold your time. Just call 860•665•8024 to make your appointment. No credit card is charged until after a reading, however Karen does reserve the right to charge late cancellation fees. If you have to cancel a block of time you have reserved that is more than an hour, Karen requests 48 hour notice. Karen no longer does "house parties."
